About Library

Government General Degree College, Mohanpur Library plays a significant role in the search of knowledge. It serves as the workshop for the entire college- students; faculties and other employees. It aims to support the teaching learning activity in the college and also provide the students updated knowledge and to ensure the optimum utilization of the available resources. The facility of ‘Partial Open Access System’ adopted in the library, Library Management Software KOHA has been installed and documents computerized fully. The reading area of the Library is spacious, peaceful and furnished with comfortable furniture. The Library has a rich collection of publications which includes books, journals, newspapers and magazines etc.

The Library which was started with an initial collection of 500 books in the academic year 2015-2016 has now more than 2500 books in its collection on various subjects offered by the college. Computerization of the Library is done. It provides various services to its users and conducts activities for the benefit of its users. The Library is under CCTV surveillance. The library is managed and financed by the college as per the recommendation of the Library Sub-Committee.
